Service summary

An assessment of worker accommodation and associated welfare arrangements against identified requirements. The audit examines living conditions, sanitation and the management controls supporting safe and dignified accommodation.

Findings support oversight by the organisation responsible for the facilities. The service does not issue occupancy permits, structural approvals or a blanket assurance covering every resident or period of occupancy.

Methodology

Selected accommodation areas and services are reviewed through observation, resident-sensitive interviews and examination of maintenance and management records.

• Define facilities, resident groups, requirements and safe access arrangements.
• Review occupancy information, service responsibilities and previous concerns.
• Select rooms, shared areas and supporting welfare facilities.
• Observe sanitation, food provision and visible living conditions.
• Interview residents confidentially and examine complaint access.
• Review maintenance, inspections and response to reported defects.
• Report location-specific findings and urgent concerns through agreed channels.
