Programme Summary

A maintenance system produces value when asset information and work processes are reliable. This programme develops the skills needed to structure asset records, manage work orders, schedule preventive tasks and interpret maintenance reports. Participants configure a training dataset and trace a job from request to closure, identifying controls that improve data quality, accountability and useful management information.

02

Training Objectives

1 Connect maintenance workflows with system configuration; 2 Improve asset and master data quality; 3 Strengthen work order lifecycle controls; 4 Develop meaningful maintenance reporting practices; 5 Support disciplined system adoption and ownership.

03

Learning Outcomes

1 Construct a usable asset hierarchy; 2 Define required work order data fields; 3 Configure a preventive maintenance task record; 4 Identify defects in maintenance report data; 5 Complete a controlled work order workflow.

04

Target Audience

Maintenance Planners; CMMS Administrators; Maintenance Supervisors; Reliability Engineers; Asset Data Officers.

05

Target Industries

Manufacturing; Utilities; Hospitals; Transport Operators; Facilities Management; Oil and Gas.

Course Contents

  • Module 1 System Purpose and Workflows: Maintenance processes and user requirements; Roles permissions and approval responsibilities; Configuration scope and change ownership.
  • Module 2 Asset Master Data: Asset hierarchy and location structures; Equipment attributes and technical references; Naming standards and duplicate prevention.
  • Module 3 Work Order Lifecycle: Requests screening and priority assignment; Planning scheduling and work release; Completion evidence and closure controls.
  • Module 4 Preventive Maintenance Records: Task templates and frequency selection; Meter triggers and condition inputs; Revision control and schedule exceptions.
  • Module 5 Materials and Resource Interfaces: Bills of materials and spares links; Labour estimates and contractor resources; Stock reservations and purchasing interfaces.
  • Module 6 Data Quality and Reporting: Mandatory fields and validation checks; Failure codes and consistent definitions; Backlog reliability and cost reports.
  • Module 7 Implementation and Adoption: Data migration and acceptance testing; User training and support arrangements; Backups access reviews and change control.
  • Module 8 Practical Configuration Workshop: Building a sample asset structure; Processing a maintenance work order; Reviewing data quality and dashboard outputs.
07

Assessment

  • 40 single best answer questions, including applied scenarios; one mark per question.
  • 60 minute invigilated digital examination with identity verification. Approved accessibility adjustments preserve the assessed competence.
  • Supplied reference pack permitted; external internet and AI assistance prohibited.
  • Individual applied assessment (30 minutes): Build a sample asset record, configure a preventive task and complete a work order with valid failure and cost data; identify two reporting risks.
  • Assessment criteria: Consistency of asset and task configuration; Completeness of work order evidence; Accuracy of data quality and reporting review.
  • Pass each component separately: 30/40 written marks (75%) and at least 70% on the applied task.
  • Individual results and feedback are provided. One reassessment may follow coaching under the published enrolment terms.
08

Certification

  • Successful learners receive a TQCSI Arabia digital Certificate of Successful Completion.
  • The certificate records the learner name, exact programme title, teaching hours, completion date and unique verification reference.
  • Verified identity, full attendance and separate written and applied passes are required; all mandatory critical criteria must be met.
  • Proposed issue target: within 30 calendar days of approved results and settlement of applicable fees.
  • Records assessed maintenance system workflow and data management skills; it does not confer software vendor certification or production system administration rights.
  • Attendance confirmation may record completed hours for unsuccessful learners; it does not certify successful completion.
