Programme Summary

Strengthen the judgement expected of experienced safety professionals when risks, evidence and business pressures are complex. Participants evaluate technical and organisational scenarios, challenge control assumptions and present defensible recommendations to management. Advanced cases integrate prevention through design, exposure risk, process safety and assurance, supporting professional development while preserving the separate requirements for independent certification, statutory appointments and specialist engineering authority.

02

Training Objectives

1 Deepen professional judgement across complex safety risks; 2 Evaluate evidence uncertainty and control dependencies; 3 Integrate prevention into design change and governance; 4 Strengthen assurance ethics and management communication; 5 Prioritise technical support and sustainable risk reduction.

03

Learning Outcomes

1 Critique a complex operational risk assessment; 2 Evaluate critical control assurance evidence; 3 Prepare a prevention through design recommendation; 4 Develop a risk informed professional advice brief; 5 Defend escalation and residual risk decisions.

04

Target Audience

Senior Safety Professionals; HSE Managers; Corporate Safety Advisors; Safety Assurance Leads; Operational Risk Managers.

05

Target Industries

Oil and Gas Processing; Petrochemical Manufacturing; Chemical Manufacturing; Bulk Fuel Storage; Industrial Gas Production; Power Generation.

Assessment

  • 100 single best answer questions, including applied scenarios; one mark per question.
  • 150 minute invigilated digital examination with identity verification. Approved accessibility adjustments preserve the assessed competence.
  • Supplied reference pack and calculator permitted; external internet and AI prohibited.
  • Individual applied assessment (90 minutes): Critique an advanced risk and assurance case, propose a prevention and critical control strategy, and defend an individual management recommendation with explicit limitations.
  • Assessment criteria: Depth of evidence based risk judgement; Appropriate control and assurance strategy; Ethical defensible advice and escalation.
  • Pass each component separately: 75/100 written marks (75%) and at least 70% on the applied task.
  • All mandatory criteria must pass: Disclose material uncertainty and control gaps; Avoid advice beyond demonstrated competence.
  • Individual results and feedback are provided. One reassessment may follow coaching under the published enrolment terms.
08

Certification

  • Successful learners receive a TQCSI Arabia digital Certificate of Successful Completion.
  • The certificate records the learner name, exact programme title, teaching hours, completion date and unique verification reference.
  • Verified identity, full attendance and separate written and applied passes are required; all mandatory critical criteria must be met.
  • Proposed issue target: within 30 calendar days of approved results and settlement of applicable fees.
  • Records advanced safety professional development; it does not confer independent professional certification, statutory appointment or specialist engineering authority.
  • Attendance confirmation may record completed hours for unsuccessful learners; it does not certify successful completion.
