Programme Summary
Lead focused improvement events that turn operational problems into tested changes. Participants prepare scope, baseline evidence and team roles before facilitating observations, cause analysis and practical experiments. The course emphasises safe change, measurable results and follow through, helping facilitators maintain momentum without sacrificing stakeholder involvement, technical controls or the discipline needed to sustain gains after the event.
Training Objectives
1 Prepare focused and feasible improvement events; 2 Facilitate evidence based cross functional teamwork; 3 Translate observations into tested improvement actions; 4 Manage safety and operational change boundaries; 5 Establish ownership and follow through after events.
Learning Outcomes
1 Draft a practical improvement event charter; 2 Prepare an observation and data plan; 3 Facilitate a structured improvement discussion; 4 Evaluate a pilot against agreed measures; 5 Create a post event sustainment plan.
Target Audience
Continuous Improvement Facilitators; Operations Team Leaders; Production Supervisors; Lean Coordinators; Process Improvement Managers.
Target Industries
Automotive Manufacturing; Electronics Manufacturing; Industrial Equipment Manufacturing; Medical Device Manufacturing; Consumer Goods Manufacturing; Industrial Services.
Course Contents
- Module 1 Event Selection and Scope: Suitable problems and measurable event goals; Boundaries constraints and sponsor expectations; Risks of overly broad improvement events.
- Module 2 Preparation and Baseline Evidence: Process observation and data collection; Customer needs and current performance; Logistics resources and participant selection.
- Module 3 Facilitation and Team Engagement: Roles ground rules and participation; Constructive challenge and conflict handling; Visual recording of evidence and decisions.
- Module 4 Current State Analysis: Process maps waste and flow barriers; Cause exploration and evidence validation; Prioritising practical improvement opportunities.
- Module 5 Designing and Testing Changes: Idea selection and small experiment design; Safety quality and change approvals; Measures for evaluating pilot performance.
- Module 6 Standardising the Improved Process: Updated standard work and visual controls; Training handovers and responsibility allocation; Documenting residual issues and constraints.
- Module 7 Follow Through and Sustainment: Action tracking and owner commitments; Performance review and escalation routines; Lessons learned and next improvement cycles.
- Module 8 Facilitation Simulation: Leading a focused team discussion; Reviewing a proposed operational change; Presenting an event follow through plan.
Assessment
- 40 single best answer questions, including applied scenarios; one mark per question.
- 60 minute invigilated digital examination with identity verification. Approved accessibility adjustments preserve the assessed competence.
- Supplied reference pack and calculator permitted; external internet and AI prohibited.
- Individual applied assessment (30 minutes): Prepare an event charter, facilitate a short improvement discussion and present a pilot evaluation with a practical sustainment plan.
- Assessment criteria: Feasible scope and preparation; Inclusive evidence based facilitation; Measurable change and sustainment logic.
- Pass each component separately: 30/40 written marks (75%) and at least 70% on the applied task.
- Individual results and feedback are provided. One reassessment may follow coaching under the published enrolment terms.
Certification
- Successful learners receive a TQCSI Arabia digital Certificate of Successful Completion.
- The certificate records the learner name, exact programme title, teaching hours, completion date and unique verification reference.
- Verified identity, full attendance and separate written and applied passes are required; all mandatory critical criteria must be met.
- Proposed issue target: within 30 calendar days of approved results and settlement of applicable fees.
- Records Kaizen facilitation learning; implementation authority and site change approvals remain with the responsible organisation.
- Attendance confirmation may record completed hours for unsuccessful learners; it does not certify successful completion.
